You may find information about bus tickets, ride-sharing services, parking permits, and more here, in addition to information on using the transportation services offered by Unitrans and UC Davis.
Public transportation
Unitrans: A bus service named Unitrans travels both inside the campus and throughout Davis. Undergraduate students at UC Davis with valid IDs can ride for free; everyone else must pay $1.25 for each ride. On the Unitrans website, you may purchase multi-ride passes. (http://unitrans.ucdavis.edu/). Also, you will be able to buy passes at MU (Memorial Union)
Yolobus: Yolobus trips are cost-free with a current undergraduate student ID from UC Davis. The Yolobus travels to West Sacramento, the Sacramento International Airport (SMF), and the neighboring city of Woodland and operates later on weekends than Unitrans. The prices are shown on the Yolobus website. (http://yolobus.com/)
The Davis Berkeley Shuttle: Faculty, employees, and enrolled students can travel between UC Davis and UC Berkeley via the intercampus bus service. Online ticket purchases are available for just $15.(http://berkbus.ucdavis.edu/)

Amtrak: The national rail system in the US is called Amtrak. You may travel to other regions of California, such as the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles, from the Davis station. You may check prices and purchase tickets on the Amtrak website. (http://amtrak.com/)
BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit): BART is a rail system that you may use to travel inside the San Francisco Bay Area or to and from SFO, but it doesn't go all the way to Davis. Check out their itineraries before making travel arrangements on the BART website; the closest station is in Antioch, California. (http://bart.gov/)
App-Based Ride Service
For the majority of demanded transportation places, using smartphone apps is more quick and accessible than public transportation, but more expensive. Options include Lyft and Uber.

They offer rides or walking escorts between school destinations during off-peak hours. Call the police department at (530) 754-COPS(2677) or go to their website. Transportation from Airports to Davis
Sacramento International (SMF) and San Francisco International airports are both close to UC Davis (SFO). You could fly into one of these airports and then take a ground transit to Davis or Sacramento, depending on your point of departure. Depending on your budget and desired travel time, there are a variety of transportation alternatives available from each airport, including the Davis Airporter, Lyft, and Uber, as well as other ridesharing services and public transportation options like Yolobus or Amtrak.
Davis Airporter: A private van service, goes directly from airport to your destination. (it took about two hours but mostly based on traffic). Must make a reservation and pay in advance.
